Essence of Decor: New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve is one of those nights that you always hope to plan and execute flawlessly, and while 95 percent of the time, no matter what you do usually ends up being fun, those “flawless” plans often get foiled. (At least they do in my experience!) This year, my New Year’s Eve plan is stay home and relax–no crazy midnight kiss expectations–or expensive tickets, last-minute dinner reservations, etc. Sounds boring, but I guess I’m sort of adulting?

I’m spending winter break re-doing my office space into a better, more inspiring office-slash-second-guest-room and getting organized before my last semester of school–finally!–as well as getting back to my regular workouts and healthier eating habits. Being in Maryland over the summer really put a foil in my fitness routine, and seriously…the crab cakes.

Anyway, if you are planning a festive fête, you’re sure to want your digs to look the part! I rounded up some gold accent pieces to dress up your place and be functional–year-round. I’m absolutely lusting after every piece above, but that gold top hat ice bucket and the bar cart are going to have to wait until my next paycheck! Nothing else, however, will break your bank.
