Dress-ing up

I have a thing for dresses. It’s funny because I didn’t as a kid, I was a little tomboy and my mom would buy me all these beautiful things to wear and I’d want to go throw mud all over the place.

This dress was a necessary buy. I saw it and I had to have it. The print reminded me of a shirt I had in high school, that I’m not sure why I let go of, (the top was Free People and I bought it specifically for my trip to Greece) and the price was right. I found it at TJ Maxx in the junior’s section! Remarkably, it didn’t fit weird, was conservative enough to wear to work, but fun enough to wear out, and also $16.99.

Yeah. So I paired it with those sandals I ordered from Greece, a lightweight sweater and some aviators. On my way home from work, I decided Hartford’s Capitol building would make a great spot for these shots, and I was right. I love doing my little “hometown tourist” thing.

What’s one piece of clothing from your past you wish you could have back?
